Goat and Sheep Fencing in Kenya: Strands, Mesh and Barbed Wire

Goats push under a cattle fence. Use closer strands, or a short chain link apron, plus galvanized barbed wire on the outer line.

A cattle fence is too open for goats

Three or four strands of barbed wire will hold cattle. Goats and sheep need a tighter bottom. Either add strands closer to the ground or run a 4ft chain link on the paddock that holds kids and lambs.

Practical roll choice

  • 610m / 25kg for the outer farm line
  • 240m / 10kg for repairs and short internal pens
  • Galvanized G16 so coastal humidity and highland rain do not eat the wire in one season

See barbed wire roll sizes and ask for a mixed farm quote if you also need chain link on the homestead.
